The wait for the fireworks was a long one, but well worth the wait. At least the wait was broken up a bit with various fly pasts and then a fireworks show for kids which was of about the size of the London show, except for the fact that there were multiples of this show loaded onto barges throughout the harbour. The midnight show was spectacular, again with multiple barges on the river (of which I could see two) plus also the harbour bridge, and as if that wasn’t enough there were more fireworks off some of the tall buildings in the CBD.
After new year I spent a few days in the Blue Mountains enjoying some wonderfull walking, before returning to Sydney for a couple of days before my flight to New Zeland Yesterday. I have arrived into Queenstown and the scenery here is great. Anyway need to get on and plan what I am going to do over the next few days, and in general over the next month.
