Less than 24hrs now until my I leave Peru and head back to the UK.

My first flight leaves from Lima airport at 6:50 am local time meaning I am going to have to get a taxi at some horrible hour of the night. Then as I am then connecting to my next international flight in America instead of this being an easy process I have to go through immigration and customs, then check my bags back in and pass back through security to departures. Then my next flight has the joy that it is operated by BA meaning that I have all the fun of coming into Terminal 5.

The question is whether this is better or worse than the way that you are supposed to return from south America on the type of ticket I have, which is via Madrid with Iberia Airline. For some reason the people couldn´t find this flight on their system for any day around when I wanted to return but I have since met someone that is also returning to the UK tomorrow via that route.
